Overview
Organized by the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art since 1993, this juried market brings roughly 130+ Native artists from across the country to the Midwest — one of the only major markets held east of the Mississippi. The juried competition runs across ten divisions and more than forty categories, from beadwork and basketry to painting and sculpture, with the Margot L. Eccles Best of Show carrying a $10,000 prize — one of the largest in the Native art market circuit.

Most of this history is still on paper. We hold one edition of Eiteljorg Indian Market and Festival. The years before that sit in boxes and filing cabinets, or are not on record at all anymore. Help us put the records together.
